Loppurutistukseen valmistautumista

Tuijotan videoversioita uudestaan ja uudestaan. Pohdin ja tunnustelen. Ajatukset lopun energiasta ja liikkeistä hahmottuvat. Kypsyttelen niitä lihaksissani ja kerään päätösvoimaa sekä päättäväisyyttä lopullisten valintojen edessä, vasta huomenna päästän itseni saliin ja annan höyryn muuttua liikkeiksi.

Lähetetyt DVD:t eivät taaskaan toimineet eikä mpg tiedosto auennut, joten huomenna postitan Helenalle hi8-videokasetin. Kommenttien ja vuoropuhelun tarve on valtava. Onneksi perjantaina otetut valokuvat onnistuivat hienosti välittämään teoksen ydintunnelman.

Today I have just watched the versions over and over again. I will gather my energy and urge for the final decisions. Tomorrow morning I will get to rehearsing again, and will start making the final decisions. The DVD:s did not work and I´m so much in need of comments and good conversation before setting my choices. Fortunately, the pictures succeeded in conveying the basic atmosphere of the piece and made me happy...

Lauantai 11.10.

Videoin läpimenon ja keskustelimme valoista Sarin kanssa. Par-heittimet tuntuivat hyvältä alussa. Silti tilan eriytyminen askarruttaa minua. Teoksen ja maailman välinen yhteys sekä yhteisen tilan jakaminen katsojien kanssa askarruttavat.

I videotaped the rehearsal with lights and we discussed the lighting and its dramaturgy with Sari. The PARs are working in the beginning. I´m still thinking about the connection between the piece and the rest of the world, and about sharing the space with the spectators.
